“Invicta FC founder Shannon Knapp appeared recently on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour and announced that league featherweuight champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino would likely fight Cindy Dandois at Invicta FC 15 on Jan. 16 in Costa Mesa, Calif. The bout will be held at a catchweight of 140.

It will be Justino’s first at the weight. The Brazilian fighter is currently signed with the UFC, but fights for Invicta. The drop is part of a longer term plan for her to show she can successfully make 135, and then fight vs. the bantamweight champion.

Knapp noted that both the division and the opponent are subject to change.

Invicta FC 15 will be headlined by strawweight champion Livia Renata Souza vs. DeAnna Bennett. TUF vet Angela Hill will make her Invicta debut vs. Jodie Esquibel.”
