Sage Northcutt har fått ny motstander 10. desember i Las Vegas.
A lightweight bout between fast-rising prospect Sage Northcutt (6-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Cody Pfister (12-4-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night 80 lineup.
UFC Fight Night 80 takes place Dec. 10 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The entire card, including the Paige VanZant vs. Joanne Calderwood headliner, streams on UFC Fight Pass.
Northcutt made his heavily promoted UFC debut earlier this month at UFC 192 and scored a 57-second win over Francisco Trevino. The 19-year-old, who previously competed for Legacy FC, has scored six stoppages in six wins, including five in the first round. He recently ventured to Canada for a trial training run with the famed Tristar Gym, which produced one of Northcutt’s idols: former longtime UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
The teenager now meets Pfister, who looks to build off his July decision victory over Yosdenis Cedeno, which followed the 25-year-old’s UFC-debut submission loss to James Moontasri. Since a back-to-back losses in 2011, the Texas-based fighter and brief “The Ultimate Fighter 15” contestant has posted an 8-1-1 record in his past 10 fights.
